We all have that piece of stubborn fat somewhere that just won't go away. An especially annoying part can be the double chin - exercise and diet usually won't do much for that blubbery piece hanging there. If you're fervently nodding your head in agreement now, why not consider laser lipolysis? Also known as laser lipo, this is a minimal invasive procedure that tightens your skin and gets rid of that stubborn excess fat for you.

Funny how a simple procedure like that can make you look years younger, right? You can read the full testimonial here.
So how is this done at Renewme Skin Clinic?
Well, to start off, the equipment we use is called AccuSculpt, and the procedure is known as AccuLift.
After local anesthesia, the needle you see above is injected into a small incision made on each side of the face, from which the laser is emitted to melt the fat. Once the fat is melted, it is suctioned out and removed.
The procedure takes about 1 hour, but with consultation, preparation, anesthesia, soothing treatment and such, you should save aside a good 3-5 hours to receive the best services possible at our clinic. And you should clear your schedule for the rest of the day as well, so I would suggest you take a half day and have the procedure on an afternoon.
Will it work for me as well?
Laser lipolysis is not a treatment for everyone. Firstly, it is not a solution for obesity but rather for contouring and removing stubborn fat. And even so, the procedure will have different results for different people. It is strongly recommended that you consult a dermatologist first, after which s/he will examine your skin and determine whether it will work for you.
What are the side effects and downtime?
AccuLift is a minimal invasive procedure; small incisions are made to insert the needle but this does not result in any scarring. Patients will, however, experience swelling and possible bruising which will subside more quickly if you visit the clinic a few days after, for post-procedural care.
Downtime differs per person but one week is a good rule of thumb. You should make sure to get plenty of rest for a few hours immediately after. For the face, avoid makeup and washing for a couple of days, and adjust your pillow to be higher than your heart. And for about a week, avoid sauna, hot baths, and excessive exercise/sweating.
