Reverse your age by treating neck wrinkles!

Most of the time, people are too busy treating their skin or faces to pay any attention to neck wrinkles, which can be just as important when it comes to anti-aging. Because the neck has relatively less muscle and thinner skin compared to the face, wrinkles can form much more easily and are not easily removable. Therefore, it's important to prevent neck wrinkles well in advance through healthy daily habits and regular treatments for maintenance. After all, they do say that no matter how youthful the face looks, you can always tell someone's age by looking at their neck.

Neck wrinkles are generally caused by two factors:
  • Aging
  • Bad sleeping habits/daily habits
Habits can alleviate wrinkles if you remember to stretch your neck often, maintain good posture, and moisturize daily (as dryness can cause wrinkles to form more quickly). For wrinkles that cannot be helped with just a change in habit, here are some procedures offered at our clinic:

1. HIFU Treatment
HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) treatments such as Ultherapy or Shurink use ultrasound to deliver energy deep into the SMAS layer of the skin, the layer that is targeted for facelift procedures. It is a non-invasive treatment that does not damage the skin and with minimal downtime, which regenerates collagen over the course of several weeks/months for natural lifting effects. Sessions are recommended once a year or so for maintenance.

2. Rejuran Healer
Rejuran is a gel formation of polynucleotide created with salmon sperm DNA fragments, molecules that are free of side-effects and have been proven to induce long-term tissue regeneration from within the deep dermis. It can gradually improve the general biological condition of damaged skin as well as regenerate new cells to keep your skin young and healthy.

3. PDO Thread Lift
Approved by the KFDA as the interbody fusible thread of highest grade, PDO (Polydioxanne) threads enter the skin to stimulate cell regrowth and collagen formation, resulting in facial lifting, whitening, and cellulite improvement. Cogged PDO threads have been approved by the KFDA, and works by pulling the sagging hyperderma upwards. Targeted areas also regenerate collagen and trigger fibrosis, providing more elasticity to the skin.

Mini-Liposuction Blog Post by Dr. Ko Na Young

Here is a blog post written by Hwagok branch head dermatologist Dr. Ko Na Young. The original post, written in Korean, can be read by clicking here . Ever since I was young, I was always concerned about the extra fat in my thighs. My calves were not so bad after I started to work out in my twenties. My thighs, on the other hand, would not budge no matter how hard I exercised. All of the clothes I bought had to fit my thighs more than any other area, and I couldn't wear pencil skirts because they would feel so uncomfortably tight, so I had to stick to flared skirts. Then, about 5-6 years ago, I extracted some fat from my thighs for a fat grafting procedure. Since then I have seen some size reduction that has been maintained until now. I didn't remove a tremendous amount of fat like traditional liposuction (over 2000 cc) - it was just about 150-200 cc from both thighs, but it was still very effective in reducing the size of my thighs. Areas such as the thighs and upper arms...
