Enlighten laser is the first dual wavelength laser with picosecond & nanosecond. It allows additional versatility beyond the range of spot size with dual wavelength in a short time without damaging surrounding tissue. The laser allows the diverse range of colors and particle sizes that has countless formulation and many different colors like black, red, and even blue ink.
Here is the example that patient has a black tattoo on the ankle area. Comparing to the other area, the area like ankle, wrist takes more time to remove tattoos because the area is far from lymph node area, so it takes more sessions treatment than the other areas.
The tattoo on the ankle has a lot of pigment coloring. First treatment, the doctor has pico enlighten laser Sometimes doctors tries to combine Enlighten laser with other laser together. It depends on tattoo and also pigments. After 1 week later, the patient got the blister after 1 session. He got dressing after 1 week on tattoo area. After 1 session, the pigments make blurry and fade out. One important thing! If you get blister on treated area, you need to visit the clinic right away. You need to have dressing at the clinic or on-line consultation.
After several sessions, the doctor tried to combine with other laser. Sometime doctors add other laser to see more effective results/. After 4,5 sessions later, the patients got lighter color than first time. After 5 sessions, the pigments fade out and made more lighter. Comparing to other area, ankle, wrist area takes more sessions than others. so we need to keep having treatment and checkup with doctors!
