PDT ACNE CARE AT RENEWME SKIN CLINIC




Hello everyone! We'd like to talk about PDT treatment for acne and pores. PDT is known as photo dynamic therapy that is non-invasive treatment with photo sensitizing agent. The treatment reduces sebaceous gland that caused by acne formation. This can reduce amount of oil within pores, therby reducing comedones like blackheads, and whiteheads. Also, PDT kills bacteria that live on facial skin and acne breakouts. It improves acne, skin texture, and even acne discoloration from acne dark spots. 




It has 4 types of OMEGA Light to treat different skin types; RED. BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW.  Red light has a wavelength 640mn that targets cells under the skin layer with stimulating to produce new collagen and fight off breakout by bacteria. Also, Blue light has wavelength 432mm, producing oxygen with toxic to the acne bacteria, therefore decreasing acne with minimal downtime. Also, Green light has wavelength 532mm that reduces acne production and rejuvenate and even more complexion on sensitive skin. Last, yellow led light is effective skin issues like redness from spider veins and sensitive skin for red spots and blushing treatment. 




PDT requires 3 to 6 sessions at 2 to 4 weeks interval. The number of treatments recommended depends on acne from dermatologists. Some patients may notice results after the first treatment, but it's case by case acne condition. You need to see the doctor first for consultation and they will let you know how many sessions you need to have on your case. 






The treatment doesn't have side effects, but it has downtime like redness/ or peeling of the treatment site. It's generally mild and resolves in 3-5 days after treatment.
