Shurink (Ultraformer III) - Latest Upgraded HIFU Anti-Aging Treatment!

Renewme Skin Clinic now offers a treatment called Shurink (upgraded version of Ultraformer 3 by Classys), which is the latest HIFU treatment for tightening saggy skin, smoothing wrinkles, and improving overall skin condition. This machine boasts shorter procedure time than conventional HIFU treatment, and less pain.

Since it's a totally newly upgraded machine, you probably won't be able to find any reviews. The webpage for the equipment shows before & after photos that look quite impressive, but we all want to know what the actual procedure is like, don't we?

Which is why for you curious readers, most of our staff underwent a demonstration to experience the treatment for ourselves. It doesn't get any more realistic than this! Keep reading if you want to tag along through our journey.

As it is with any major skin procedure, numbing cream is required for about 30-40 minutes prior to treatment. Mandy and I both look like we could be the Asian cousins of the Phantom of the Opera, lol. It was my first time applying numbing cream all across the face, and let me tell you, it was a totally new sensation I just could not get used to. When I was washing my face afterward, I couldn't tell if there was any residue left on my skin because my face didn't really feel like my own. Thank goodness it wears off after a couple of hours!

Ultrasound conductivity gel is applied before the procedure. We were both feeling pretty nervous, not going to lie. I had no idea what to expect.

Have you watched the video I uploaded? Basically it's that motion, all across the face, for about 15 minutes. The cool thing about Shurink is that it uses two different hand pieces: one that reaches deeper into the skin and one that is a bit shallower. You might have already guessed that the deeper hand piece is more painful.

But was it actually that painful? On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate it about 4 or 5. For some areas (for me, it was the forehead and temples) I just felt a slight prickly sensation and nothing more. For other areas, like the cheeks especially, I would feel like a small needle in the form of electric currents were racing deep into my skin. At certain times it would make me quite jumpy, and some shots did hurt a lot. But it was nothing that I couldn't handle, considering the fact that I can be a real big baby when it comes to pain.

This is me immediately after the procedure (with no makeup on, so please excuse the blemishes and bad skin). My cheeks are a little flushed and quite warm, actually, but other than that there is no swelling, pain, or bruising. I just went straight back to work after and nobody could tell. Mandy's skin reacted a little to the treatment in little red bumps (she left before I could take a photo), but this would generally go away in a couple of days. If you do happen to feel a tingly sensation or heat, it means the skin is doing its job in jump starting the collagen regeneration process.

Results generally start to show within a couple of weeks/months. Some of my colleagues had already noticed their skin becoming firmer, and their skin condition improving. I am also excited to see what changes my skin will go through, if any!
