Let's talk about pores. What exactly are they, and what's the big deal about tightening them? To start off, pores are the small holes in the skin where oil (sebum) is released from the sebaceous glands and where hair grows. That said, it is not a part of the skin that is easily expanded or contracted. A typical pore is about 0.02-0.05 mm in diameter, which is not visible to the naked eye.
