Tips on Skin Care for Feet

If you think about it, our feet can sometimes be one of the most neglected parts of our bodies. We never care much for it... unless something bad happens to it; that's when it is constantly on your mind. Like that mosquito bite right between your toes that you can't scratch with shoes on. Or when your feet start to ache like crazy after standing in heels for hours, and you get so desperate you end up buying a pair of cheap shoes from the first store you see because you just can't handle the pain anymore. When we're not in such agony or pain, our feet act as the foundation of our everyday activities; they enable us to go places, to experience the whole world past the comforts of our home. They allow us to kick things when we are angry, to stomp it when we stand our ground. Admit it: our feet deserve a lot more credit!

That being said, here are some tips to keep your feet clean and refreshed, so you can prevent any possible dermatitis or other infections/diseases. It is always to prevent any complications in advance rather than treating it after diagnosis. If you're prone to sweaty/callused feet, you might want to pay extra attention:

1. Wear air-permeable shoes such as sandals.
2. Avoid rubber/plastic shoes.
3. Wear thick socks, and change socks frequently if they get damp
4. Use a mild laundry detergent.
5. Use creams that include silicone and dimethicone (Rovectin Ultra Cream)
6. Apply Vaseline before going to bed.
7. Apply liquid bands (liquid Medifoam) or adhesives to cracked areas.

Keep your feet beautiful, people!
